An extremely rare Victorian sterling silver novelty scent bottle, modelled in the form of a miniature Champagne bottle, the body inset with polished Scottish specimen agate hardstones, the screw thread cap, modelled as the top of the bottle, contains an integral cork stopper.
The body is fully hallmarked and is accompanied by a design registration number, "RD 224284". The body, underside and removable cap are all hallmarked.
Note: This is the first example of a scent bottle of this form that we have seen.

Good antique condition. Critically, there is no damage or losses to the specimen hardstones. No repairs. A few small minor knocks to the smooth parts of the body as expected from age and through use.
