A Victorian sterling silver swing handle basket, in the Neoclassical style with reticulated pierced body and foliage swags, the swing handle with anthemion flower heads with a vacant central ovoid cartouche, the rim of the bowl decoration with a bead edge.
Standing atop a spreading collet foot encircled by interchanged Rococo 'C' scrolls. With blue glass liner. The liner is extremely well fitting and potentially may be the original. Fully hallmarked to the underside of the base. The hallmarks struck remain clear as they have been protected.

Weight: 161.4 grams (silver weight). 377.6 grams (gross weight of silver and glass liner combined).
Condition: Excellent antique condition. No repairs and the silver is a lovely colour. The blue glass liner fits very neatly and is possibly the original.
